"As I looked through the book I knew Little Bit would love it. It is perfect for 3 year olds. The illustrations are simple and colorful. The wording is also simple and easy for her to understand. Throughout the book there is a hidden frog to find on each page. Some pages you can look for the toenails, another you can count them. You learn about each family members reaction to dad's toenails, that leaves feel crunchy in the fall or snow is cold."

"One of Big J's all time favorite people is her father and it is hard to find books for kids where the father is the main character. Big J and I loved that there was a frog hidden on each page, which made it more interactive. The story line itself was also very funny and we were asked to read it every night for a week. This story also provides a fun learning lesson when Big J was asked over and over to count all of dad's funny purple toes. My Purple Toes will stay in the family collection for a long time."

"It was a sweet surprise that the book arrived beautifully wrapped in purple tissues. Illustrated by artist Tate Nation, the book is filled with rich colors, likable characters, and funny pictures, all of which grabbed my son's attention in no time and prompted him to start reading it. At the risk of stereotyping, I doubt any guy without kids would spend a day on the couch watching a Dora the Explorer marathon. "My daughter, being a 4 year old, is always curious and asking about why people have different color skin. I try to tell her that everybody is different - not worse or better, just different. This book seemed to resound somewhat with her, as already a book knows more than mom. She liked the frog that popped up on every page and she and her younger brother liked to look for the frog.
