The following are a few lessons that children will learn when reading The Purple Series...

1. Be Open & Accepting to Others
People come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, which makes life interesting and fun. When you meet someone who is different from you, welcome them and take the time to understand their story. You will probably learn something new or even make a new friend.

2. Have Fun & Enjoy Life to its Fullest
Don't take life too seriously. Find reasons to smile and laugh every day. Look for the little joys in life, find reasons to laugh at yourself, and make light of frustrating situations. And remember, always "be a kid" even as you get older. It's the best way to have fun!

3. Embrace Being Unique & Different
No two people are alike. Embrace the fact that you're different and let yourself be free to express your ideas and feelings. It's okay to sing when nobody's singing. It's okay to dance when nobody's dancing. It's okay to paint your toenails purple when everyone's are pink. Above all, be yourself and share it with the world!

4. Practice Giving Unconditional Love
Always love someone no matter what. Remind someone that you will love them no matter what they do.

5. Family Love
Remind the people in your family that you love them each day and that you will always be there for them no matter what.

5. Non-Discriminating Love
Give love to everyone, big or small; love can help make someone's day.
